Get to Know Johanna

Hi, I am an Interior Design graduate of the CIDA-accredited program at Vancouver Island University Class of 2024.

I have lived in Calgary, Alberta, all my life, although the last four years I have spent on Vancouver Island for school have been a nice break away from a cold, landlocked city. After graduating this spring, I'm excited to search for a position in the design industry on the Island or in Alberta to contribute and share the ideas and skills I've learned while at VIU and my passion for creating and designing.

I have always had a passion for history, art, and architecture, which has grown as I travel more and experience new places and cultures. This passion has led me to pursue a degree in Interior Design. 
 
I started my post-secondary education by attending Mount Royal University's Psychology program, where I was interested in Physical Anthropology. However, I realized I did not wish to pursue this further as a career, and I can proudly say that I have gained valuable knowledge that has helped me thrive in the Interior Design program.
